KEG Robots
This highly automated robot cell offers a fully automatic, flexible solution for depalletizing and palletizing KEGs, as well as for the automatic handling of Euro pallets in brewery operations.
System Components & Functionality
- 6-Axis Articulated Robot: The central industrial articulated robot precisely grips and transfers KEGs from the conveyor system to the pallet, and handles empties and wooden pallets.
- Multifunction Gripper: Specially developed combi-gripper for securely grasping different KEG sizes by the head or foot ring, and for gripping empty pallets.
- Conveyor and Roller Technology: Integrated chain and roller conveyors for continuous feeding and removal of filled KEGs, empty KEGs, and finished pallet layers.
- Pallet Magazine & Interlayer Handling: Automatic provision, stacking, and feeding of Euro pallets directly in the robot’s working area.
- Safety Cell: Comprehensive protective enclosure with safety grilles, light barriers, and secured access points for maximum operational safety according to current ISO standards.
